Abstract
Compensation is one of the most complex and dynamic issues in the field of human resource management. For an organization to achieve its stated objectives, there is the need to effectively manage the human resources aspect of the organization, taken into cognizance one of the core aspects of resource management known as compensation. The ability of a manager to achieve its stated objectives to a large extent depends on the effective implementation. Employee’s commitment is of a critical importance for the success of an organization since it influences the key employee related variables such as absenteeism, low productivity, low morale, labour turn over and other negative tendencies.
