Abstract

This paper theoretically explores how digital visibility influences perceived employability of post graduate student in IAUE, Rivers State. This study examines the relationship between digital visibility and perceived employability of postgraduate students in Office and Information Management in IAUE, Rivers State. The study was anchored on signaling theory propounded by Michael Spence in 1973. It concludes that postgraduate students with strong digital competencies—such as content creation, online collaboration, and digital communication—report higher levels of career optimism and readiness for the labor market. It recommends amongst others that postgraduate students should create professional profiles, highlight skills, connect with industry experts, and engage in discussions relevant to their fields.
