THE IMPACT OF MOBILE BANKING ON SERVICE DELIVERY(A CASE STUDY OFGWALLAMEJI WARD IN BAUCHI METROPOLIS)
Abstract
The research examined the impact of mobile banking on service delivery in Gwallameji Ward of Bauchi Metropolis.The objectives was to examine the extent to which banks implement mobile banking services and the depth to which customers embrace the adoption of mobile banking. In so doing identify problems associated with mobile banking and proffer solutions to the problems associated with mobile banking in the study area. The population of the study consists of 6,005 people living in Gwallameji as at 2021, out of the population, 363 people will be randomly selected using simple random sampling techniques. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistic, variance, mean, frequency distribution and percentages. The mean and standard deviation would be used to analyze the research data. The hypotheses were tested using linear regression analysis at 0.05(i.e. 5% level of significance). The findings revealed that Information and communications technologies (ICTs) have changed the approaches to conducting business transactions and meeting the growing demands of customers for most organizations. In view of the above finding the following recommendation were made: Creating awareness to inform the public about the benefits derived on the mobile banking service product. Skilled manpower and ICT expert should be employed by every Bank, in other to stop, prevent fraudulent personal and hackers from tampering with Banks data and stealing money from the Banks accounts, Provision and maintenance of public network, system by the operator, the availability of these basic infrastructures is fundamental to the efficient functioning of the mobile banking services.
