KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT AND ORGANIZATIONAL PRODUCTIVITY IN DEPOSIT MONEY BANKS IN NIGERIA

This work examined knowledge management and organizational productivity of deposit money banks in Nigeria. The objective of the study was to examine the extent to which knowledge management and organizational productivity measured in terms of service quality, intellectual quality and service efficiency in twenty deposit money banks in Nigeria. The accessible population of this study was 70 managers in the twenty-two deposit money banks in Rivers State which also served as the sample size. Pearson’s product moment correlation was used for analysis. The findings of this research revealed that knowledge management has a positive and statistically significant relationship with service quality, intellectual quality and service efficiency of deposit money banks in Nigeria. From the result of the data analysis, it can be concluded that knowledge management plays a major role in achieving continued success of deposit money banks under study. Based on the findings, it was recommended that Deposit Money Banks should ensure person-to-person transfer of knowledge is improved upon.
