SOFTWARE AS A SERVICE AND ORGANISATIONAL PERFORMANCE OF DEPOSIT MONEY BANKS IN RIVERS STATE
Abstract
Globally, the need for implementation of various innovations has recently received much attention as Deposit Money Banks seek to improve their services. In recent times, we have seen the majority of organizations invest in considerable internal computerization capacities and web-based computing infrastructure (Bildosola, et al., 2015). Software as a service is very attractive for organizations. Thanks to the potential it brings such as increased efficiency and cost savings. It constitutes a fundamental shift in the way organizations are provided with computing resources (Greenwood at al., 2011). The provision is moving from computing as a product to computing as a service as this shift is inevitable and irreversible (McAfee, 2011). This technology is evolving and growing very fast. Many IT players, such as Google, Amazon, Microsoft, etc., are involved in developing and offering cloud services. Software as a service is at its infant stage of life, but in 10 – 15 years it will look completely different (Velte et al., 2010)
